-
Soak rockwool cubes in dilute nutrient
solution before planting seeds 1/4 inch deep. Place
cubes in a tray of water until seeds germinate.
-
Protect the drain outlet in the planting
bucket from clogging by placing some crushed rock
around it.
-
Place cubes with seedlings in the
moistened growing medium. Then put the bucket of
nutrients into the fill position and allow the medium
to fill to approximately 1 inch below the surface.
-
Allow the solution to remain for about
20 minutes, then put the bucket in the drain position.
Repeat this three to six times per day.
-
Always keep a lid on the nutrient
bucket. Try to keep the nutrient solution pH between
5.8 and 6.5 and the temperature at about 70 degrees,
and change the entire solution every two weeks.
